Long "ea" sound.
Long "e" sound is "ea", right?
So "ea" stands  for,
clean
bean
leave
sea ...among others.

But, what about "Sean"?
why does it sound differently?

Sean is an Irish name with Irish spelling and pronunciation. It’s the Irish version of the name John.

Also, it is not a rule that “ea” is pronounced as a long “ee” sound.
