Would you feel comfortable with a language partner of the opposite sex? Many times we are looking for a language partner, but if the person was of the opposite sex would you still like to talk to them? I would like to know your opinion, please share.

Sure, people are people. A language is a language. But, know what your motivations and expectations are. If you are attracted to the opposite sex, know that there might be some "tension" between you two. Just like when you are working on the job, you get the job done...without any sexual or romantic interference. If your goal in learning this language is to become fluent, then be aware of this and facilitate the best "environment" to bring this goal to fruition. If your goal or motivation is to flirt or get laid then that is your goal. Be real with yourself and be responsible for yourself so that you don't waste your own or anybody else's time and energy.

Brilliant question!

Most of my language partners are men. I don't know why I'm supposed to feel uncomfortable. We are all humans who are here to learn languages and learn more about people from other countries, no matter men or women.

Gender doesn't really matter to me- I would not mind having a male language partner as long as he is professional and respectful

I wouldn’t feel comfortable because I belong to a conservative community and it shaded its strong light on me so I don’t feel comfortable despite I appreciate getting help from them.

I don’t often meet men in my daily life only for necessity, lol, don’t laugh at me please I don’t belong to the 18th century but this is how life look like where I live.

I don't find any inconvenience talking to a partner of the opposite sex. In fact, the discussion can be more active because both sides have their own opinions about the matter.
