One day in the zoo

Last Saturday, my family and I went al the zoo Selwo Aventure. We got up early and I made many sandwiches, one salad and put them in a bag. The trip was fun. My daughters asked about the aminals of the zoo and they imited at them.

When we arrived, get on a bus and went into at the zoo. There was a lot of animals in semi-freedom. My daughters were amazing. Also there was bridges and lakes with fishes and ducks and one zone with thousand births.

In the end, we were very tired. Some day we came at the zoo.

One day at the zoo

Last Saturday, my family and I all went to the zoo, Selwo Adventure. We got up early and I made many sandwiches and one salad, and put them in the bag. The trip was fun. My daughters asked about the animals of the zoo and they imitated them. When we arrived by bus, we went into the zoo. There were a lot of animals in semi-freedom. My daughters were amazing! There were also bridges and lakes with fish and ducks and one zone with a thousand birds. In the end, we were very tired. Someday we will go back to the zoo!

Grammar points:

There was + singular noun

There were + plural noun

When we are talking about general places, we use “at” instead of “in”.

The plural of “fish” is also “fish”! It is an exception to the rule.

“a thousand” goes together. Remember to put the “a”!

”Come” and “go” are a bit tricky in English. The reason it is “go” in this case is that you are telling a story from the past and you are no longer actually at the zoo while writing it. If you were still at the zoo, it would be “come”. Come means to come where you are and go means to go somewhere else away from you!
