In my opinion, it makes a lot of sense! It's our easy and cheap way to be in the outer space (because your name represent you somehow).

And I also think it's a brilliant idea from Nasa to involve everyone in the space missions.

Of course, I already sent my name with InSight mission to Mars, Parker Solar Probe to the Sun and recently I sighed my name with the 2020 mission to Mars.
