TRAVEL Essentials

It is difficult to pack your bags when you literally want to bring everything. This is true! especially for women. I think women overpack and I am not excluding myself. I once brought 15 kg as an overnight luggage for a local trip. Yes! For one day, I packed 10 sets of clothes. I only wore 2 sets.

In order to travel better, it is also important to travel light. On my most recent trip to Vietnam, I survived with 1 50L backpack and one laptop bag. It was still heavy but hey I used that for my 9-day trip.

Now, here is the question...

If you were moving to another country, but could only pack one carry-on sized bag, what would you pack?

These are my answers..

1. Sunblock

2. passport

3. money --If I brought money, I can just buy clothes in that country.

@FATİH that is true..because most women have a separate suitcase for makeup, skin care and clothes. In addition, there is another suitcase for the accessories.

For me, medicine is the most important. I can go without many things but if I know there are no headache medications, stomachache pills, or Valerian in my bag, I'll freak out. It's not like I get those pains often (seldom, actually) but I'm always worried about "what if I do get them but have no medications on me and there are no pharmacies nearby or they don't sell stuff without prescription aaaahh what will I do" (worst case scenario, I know, I'm paranoid). I remember when I was in highschool, there was like a pencil case, a comb, a pair of earphones, and always a pack of different pills in my schoolbag.

@Alycia I agree that emergency medications are quite useful.
