How do you practice with a person who is "non-native English speaker"?

I'm wondering about practicing with a person who isn't a native speaker.

Here, the main questions:

How do you work with a non-native English speaker to improve your abilities?

What questions do you usually ask from your non-native speaker partner to help yourself?

Hi, I'm not native and I speak with not native English speakers . We can talk about different topics, we ask what we want. And also we can show mistakes to each other , if we make it and know how its correctly to say . Of course it's better to speak with native , but you not always have a native English speaker near with you.

Well, one of the best ways of learning is to teach, because it reinforces one's own understanding of a matter. So, if your partner is quite new to the language, it may benefit you to teach them what you have learned so far.

If they are of the same level you are, then perhaps you can agree upon a lesson you both are to learn in advance, and then during the exchange you review it together. You can also engage in conversation of course, to further improve.

If they are of a high level, then it should not matter they are not a native speaker, as the person above has pointed out.

If the non-native speaker is at a high level, then I think it would be pretty much the same as far as what questions you would ask . If they are not at a high level I don't think they will help you much and in fact you may talk to each other with incorrect English without knowing it, and then you would probably be worse off than before, because it may be more difficult to break the bad habit later

In a sense, it is a myth that haunts so many people who would like to learn a new language but barely able to get access to native speakers. Considering many successful learners who were not living in an English speaking country, the answer is in part clarified.

Having said so, you still need to develop your own strategy of learning and practice the target language by which you may improve your pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary to achieve 4 major skills, reading, listening, speaking and writing. Native speakers may help you but I suppose a qualified English teacher can do much better than simply a native speaker. I am a native Chinese speaker, but I have no idea how to teach students to learn Chinese unless I learnt the skills to teach.

I saw quite a lot of Chinese learners who were practicing with their peers with no much involvement of native Chinese speakers. It took my surprise that they were doing very well and became quickly fluent in one or two years. Therefore, I do believe people can practice well and gain great ground in language acquisition as long as they are able to adopt proper methods to learn and practice, given that there have been a large number of learning materials available online.
