OET 2.0 Writing Tips: When to use Capital Letters?- Dr Can's OET Prep/Medical English
Dear all,
I am Dr. Can, and I am one of the professional teachers here in the iTalki Platform.
I will be providing small daily tips to improve your skills in Medical English.
As a rule, medical conditions which named after the person who discovered it or is associated with its treatment are capitalised (but not the word that comes after it).
Examples,
- Parkinson's disease
- Alzheimer's disease
- Chron's disease
- Asperger's syndrome
- Down syndrome
Other medical conditions are not capitalised:
- multiple sclerosis
- arthritis
- anorexia
Hope this small tip helps with your writing.
Do not hesitate to contact for other questions. You are also always invited to book a trial lesson with me for us to know each other and practice together.
I wish you all the best with your studies!
