Thoughts about a incredible Brazilian child with Syndrome of Down
Rafael, a Brazilian child, 3, with Syndrome of Down learned to speak English by himself just for watching educational cartoons videos in English. I have known about it watching the news of 2017 and I found so interesting. As his family doesn't speak English at all, but only Portuguese and German, everyone had difficulties to communicate with him. And as the child don't had too interest to speak her native tongue and because of his health, he's began to have sessions with an Neuropsychopedagogue* to learn the Portuguese in a practice way and another things relation to his health problem. However, the child continue to learn English in the same way and the Portuguese of course.
I hope this boy continue to showing,.....
.....firstly, to the world that every life is a wonderful challange. Our life have bad ones, not only people with bad health, but everybody have, more or less. This child is one of the most examples that comprove that the way always have things to improve. What's matter is choice good solutions. People in nowdays (in general) don't think with seriously about the giant problem called abortion. And I'm happy to this example of life in nowdays! That parents have made a really good choice: to prefer for the son's life to their "good-life" -- but what's the point to have a family without personal sacrifices and without love?
And.... secondly, to lazy students that learn a new language is mainly to immerse the language in our day-to-day life. So... Peppa Pig marathon, here I go!
