Don’t forget to Love yourself: “Don’t spread yourself too thin.”
This is my favorite idiom nowadays because it reminds me of what is truly important in life. "To rest and to enjoy even the simple things such as reading, exercising and watching my favorite cartoons."
I was the kind of a person who would work at least 14 hours a day until I reached burnout. Nowadays, I do not do that anymore. Ever Since, I read the news about a young doctor who died during his shift at the hospital. He had cardiac arrest, and he was only 30 years old. The thing is that he worked 3 days straight with no rest at all. His heart, even if he was young gave up.

So, I am writing this discussion to remind everyone to take it easy. I was also in the position of spreading myself too thin for many years and although I got used to it, it is not a great way to enjoy life. Earlier, I reminded one of my students to take it easy. He has a family, a full time job, he also goes to the gym, and he studies three languages. So, I told him. “What do you think you are doing to yourself”? “You are spreading yourself too thin.”
I gave him the advice of reducing his classes with me from everyday to every other day because sometimes in life it is not just about earning money. It is also about efficiency and  thinking about the long term effects.

Nowadays, we need to be healthy rather than just financially equipped because money is useless when we are dead.

Meaning of Spread yourself too thin: To expend more time, resources, or energy than one can maintain or sustain; to undertake too many activities at the same time.

This is an awesome reminder! It reminds me of the saying that you can't pour from an empty cup. It's true....you need to make time for yourself. Starting with just one self care day per month is a great challenge, especially for those who work excessively. With the pandemic, I've been forced to slow down a bit and I must say, my body really needed it.

I agree with you . I think Corona came to remind us to slow down and to spend more time with our loved ones. I love a saying we have here "You owe a duty to your god, you owe a duty to your body; you owe a duty to your family; so you should give to every one his due"
