Does 'think like a native' actually work?
Let take me as an example. I'm a non-native English speaker who set myself a task to attain nearly as fluent and coherent as a native. One of my common tips is 'To think like a native' when it comes to learning a foreign language, which sounds lucid but still leaves uncertainty for those, like me, who've lived for more than decades in the non-English country have not been able to change their thinking as a native person.
