I have. I visited Tijuana. The part I found most entertaining about my visit was because I look hispanic- the locals treated me like a local rather than a foreigner. This played a good role for me because I didn't get overpriced, nor did i get stared at- as compared to my caucasian travel companion who was a blonde hair, blue eyed, nearly 6 ft tall woman!

Hi, I visited Mexico, specifically Riviera Maya, the northeastern Yucatán Peninsula last summer. We ended up staying in Playa del Carmen.This was a fabulous trip. I found the people to be really nice and friendly, even when they didn't speak english very well. It was absolutely amazing, both for the cultural experience as much as for the beautiful beaches. We did a hike up to the Coba pyramid, visited a mayan village and met some locals, and got to swim in an amazing cenote in Tulum. The only thing I would recommend is that when visiting for the first time, make sure you do most of your activities with an organized tour group or simply with someone who is familiar with Mexico. Otherwise, I would say that Mexico is definitely a place to visit.

I live in Mexico City and I can tell you that it depends on what places you are going to visit it may be the experience you’ll have. Our country is rich in culture and archaeological sites and most of the people are very kind, there are beatiful places like Guanajuato.

My recommendation is that if you are going to visit Mexico do it with someone who knows the area. (Sorry for my bad writing)
