Suggestions for Beginners
Does anyone have a suggestion on effective ways to learn more of a language? I’m new to Portuguese, and looking for effective ways to understand the language

Hi Jared. About Portuguese I'd say that is very important to learn nouns and their articles, or gender together. Make sure you do it from beginning. It's also important that you use as many methods as possible: visuals, podcasts, movies, grammar exercises etc. I think that you should use every available exposure oportunity to the target language. Desejo sucesso!

The most important thing is knowing what you want to achieve with the language.

If it's making friends or going on vacation, it would be best to learn a certain vocabulary set. Learning in a more informal way will benefit you greatly.

If you plan on living in Brazil or a different Portuguese speaking country, it would be best to get a tutor or professor.

There is no magical way to learn a language. You'll have to hack and slash your way through, meaning that you'll have to practice all skills including listening, writing, and speaking on a daily basis.

Hey ... one of the best ways is to watch Brazilian movies and novel.
Good Luck!
