Food places in korean
While i was reading a dialogue in Korean, i noticed they called the pizza restaurant “피자집”. I know 집 means house or home so i was a little taken back.

How common is that phrase? Is it added to every food place or there are some rules? like 치킨집 etc.

Or how about when saying, italian place, is the same thing applied?

Thank you.

Actually, most food places can be call to its food and '집' in Korean. For example, a Chinese restaurant is altered to '중국집,' a bakery is also '빵집' for Korean.
