It was a dark and stormy night.....

and intermittent flashes of lightning streaked across the dark cumulonimbus clouds and lit up the dark canvas to make it suddenly white like an overexposed photograph. The loud thunderclaps followed them and occasionally a bolt of lightning struck some nearby spot with a terrible roar. The electrical storms are extra vicious here.

The dark intervals that fell in between were filled with the sound of heavy torrential rain. When it eased up a little, I could hear the chorus of the frogs, loud enough to come clearly through the closed windows.

No, no ghosts and no murders. Real life description from three nights ago. The interesting part as usual was the sudden proliferation of tadpoles in my garden pond the next day, more of them than my half a dozen catfish could finish off right away. And, again as usual, the sudden appearance of small, non venomous snakes looking for a quick meal.

Mother nature has amazing sequences and interdependencies.
