"Brothers In Arms"</div><div>we have these lines in the lyrics representing what the singer sings and how he actually sings the words with apostrophes</div><div>1.The moon's riding high </div><div>[ = the moon is riding high]</div><div>2.The sun's gone to hell</div><div>[= the sun has gone gone to hell]</div><div>3.There's so many different worlds</div><div>[= there are so many different worlds] not is so many worlds</div><div>4I've witnessed your suffering</div><div>[= I have witnessed your suffering]</div><div>5.we're fools to make war</div><div>[= we are fools to make war]</div><div><br></div><div>And finally  </div><div>6.So many different suns</div><div>[could have been replaced with "there's so many different suns"]</div><div><br></div><div>one apostrophe so many different meanings</div><div><strong style="color: rgb(230, 0, 0);"><u>Question</u></strong> how do you sort out any confusion with the apostrophe being a possessive which none of them are. Are they?.</div><div><br></div><div>Is it the moon is riding high or the moons-riding? it's using the same possessive structure as</div><div>the soldiers's rifle or the soldiers's war etc.</div><div><br></div><div>Discuss comment explain debate and converse together.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Side note there used to be a website run by a man who was good at this but he got old and eventually had to give up, primarily because nobody listened to him any longer he became exasperated.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
