Teaching English (TEFL)
Hello everyone!
I am a native English speaker from Manchester and I am very interested in teaching English as a foreign language, but since I have never taught before, I am not very confident at the moment. Does anyone know if there are any free webinars or teaching sessions that I can watch? I completed a TEFL (120 hours) online course but TEFL courses are quite expensive so I was lucky to get that one on sale but there was no teaching experience involved. Most teaching jobs in China require a bachelors which I don't have but most European teaching jobs only require a TEFL or CELTA.

Hi Lotte! It's always a bit daunting starting off, but if you've done a TEFL course, I'm sure you'll be fine :) There are loads of helpful resources online. I would recommend doing the 'teaching English online' course run by Cambridge assessment: https://www.futurelearn.com/partners/cambridge-assessment-english
Even if you don't only want to teach online, the course talks through lesson structures, activities and classroom management online and offline.
