How to ask someone's personalities politely?
Actually, I can guess the personalities of a person through talking with her/him or observing her/his gestures. But if I want to know what that person say about his/her personalities, can I directly ask one of these questions?

  • What is your personality?
  • What kind of person do you think you are?

Or if there are better questions, could you please share them with me.
Thank you so much ^^

Well, though is not very common, in some circles familiar with the Briggs Myers test is very common to ask very straight "what type are you". You will get as an answer a 4 letter acronym like "INFJ".

A better way to ask would be: How would you describe yourself? Or How would you describe your personality?

I usually ask "How would you describe yourself?"
People often reply "I am very outgoing." or "I am introverted." or "I am ambitious"

But I never asked !

Gosh. What a coincidence! I took the first MBTI test this morning, and after 3 times doing it over and over, the results showed that "I'm in INFJ!"
Anyway, thank you for your help, Ricardo.
