Language partner , what would you do if is not going well ?
I´m lucky with my language partners but what would you do in case you realise that your partner is not really helping you or on the other way around ? would you try harder until get better or simply call it the day ?

from my point of view, in the beginning,you have to tell your partner what exactly you need from him /her and ask her / him what is the help they need from you, and set a suitable plan for you .. in this case, you will be helpful for each others
