Grammar confused
I don't understand grammar behind this sentence.
Could someone explain me why it is written as below
Shops and restaurants are also due to reopen from 18 May providing social distancing is enforced
It seems to me that it should be like this because it should have only one verb 'are due to'
Shops and restaurants are also due to reopen from 18 May providing social distancing enforced

"providing social distancing is enforced" is a subordinate clause, without the "is" the verbal construct is incomplete.

It think it should be "provided that" instead of "providing",
So you need a verb for a second clause.
