Reviews on Pimsleur?
Hi, I'm considering to try out Pimsleur for my french-learning. Does anyone have any experience with that programme/way of studying? I was also looking at Lingodas 3-months sprint (but found some bad reviews). If anyone who has tried Pimsleur (or Lingoda) let me know how their experience was? Thank you!

I am using Pimsleur currently. I really like it because it improves my speaking and listening skills. However, it is not the only learning tool that I use.

I've used Pimsleur and other things similar to it. While they work to some extent, it depends on how much effort you choose to devote to it. I wouldn't just use that. I would use other methods also. A CD cannot hear how well you are speaking.

Even if there is voice recognition, that technology isn't perfect. Real conversations help.

I would echo Mr P.Turn's  comment that the content used by Pimsleur may be too rigid to come across as natural, however, I think it could be used as solid ground for further exploration of the French language. Hope that helps!

Im currently using Pimsleurs for Chinese, and Id say it works if you are strict with it (do what it says and make sure youre focussed on it and not doing other things that are a distraction). However, it isnt necessarily what I would describe as a naturalistic - so subsituting it with others things would be useful. Good luck
