I am doing the same thing. I am studying Arabic and Portuguese at the same time. My daughter studies four languages .

My strategy is to find people that speak both of my target languages and practice both languages with that person. My daughter and I divide time between our two target languages. She works on Hindi with a private tutor. She studies a lot of English because she is a native speaker. We try to always make an even study plan and work together daily. It is a long process but we are slowly getting somewhere. My daughter can read in all four languages. She can’t hold long conversations but she has an ability to read and understand vocabulary.

I spend many hours studying with various partners and am making slow but steady progress.

Hello! As you are already pretty capable in English, you should be able to handle another language. I am only studying one language at the moment, so my help may not be of any benefit to you, but I'll try!
