I do that usually on italki discussions where we are asked by the OP to record ourselves speaking in the target language and post our recordings!
I hesitated a lot at first but after I tried it first time and embarrassed myself publicly, things improved faster 😁
It's so much fun especially when we do the tongue twisters 😂 Since you are learning Spanish, you could really record yourself speaking/ reading Spanish and native Spanish speakers could help correct you and suggest how you can improve your pronunciation.
So answering your question, Yes! It does help a LOT. Even if just recording and listening to yourself.
It makes me feel that I'm 'breaking the ice' with the my target language and conquering my fear.
I usually record on my phone because my voice would be really clear. If I wanted to share it on a discussion, I would upload my recording to one of these two websites:
- vocaroo.com
- clyp.it
Good luck, Jack 🍀
