A good, small book is "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾ It is funny and sometimes sad, really easy to read.

If you're still a beginner (A1-A2) try children's books and comics (the images help you understand)
If you're past B1 level (lower intermediate) you can try short story compilations e.g. Roal Dahl books.
Short story compilations can help because you can read it bit by bit.
