That one got down voted as well. I guess that people would like to discuss more serious topics, but the rules of italki don't allow that. I saw people down voting your discussions and thought that they do that because you ask very simple questions (What is your favorite food? What did you do last weekend?). But italki is a language forum after all and especially beginners are very happy about your discussions, because they can practice their English. They would not be able to take part in discussions about environmental pollution or rights of indigenous people.
Don't get discouraged by people down voting your discussions!
