が or を is correct for this sentence?
行き方を教えてもらいましたが、道間違えてしまいました。or 行き方を教えてもらいましたが、道間違えてしまいました。
Mistake what? The road. It seems to be an accusative case. Or do I still need が ?

道を間違えてしまいました。is correct.

道が間違えてしました。is not correct. If I translate literally this sentence to English, it is like "roads made a mistake". Roads can't make any mistakes because they don't alive.
