Would you, please, recommend me a free application (desktop or web) for using flashcards.
I have just realized following a post by Antonio that I am not using flashcards. It would be funnier to study my words that way than by writing them in a notebook in an old fashioned way. I have just downloaded Anki, and it will help me a lot. I just thought that there might be other options that I would like more. That's why I am asking you to share other applications that you might know about flashcards. Thanks in advance and I hope it may help somebody else as well.

Kalina,
"it would be more fun...." .to study that way. I have used Anki for the past 3 years, and review the words almost every day. At the moment I am reviewing 50 - 70 words a day, which only take 10 minutes. I uploaded another 30 new words today, and the frequency seems to be review a first time, then on the 3rd day, 5th day, and then longer intervals.
Some people put the audio file on the flash cards, but I find it takes too much time to create.

I like using Anki, there's good memorizig algorithm. The site looks like it's taken form 90' but it's very useful. Nice interface is not everything :)

Some useful sites with flashcards:

quizlet - I don't know that one, but it's quite popular

readlang.com - it's great for reading. You need to install it on google chrome and the you just click on the word and the translation appears above. After reading (if you logged in) the flashcards of translated words appear automatically. It's for free, but some special options are in premium version. The free one is for me useful - you don't need to jump over pages to dictionary while reading

I'm using Quizlet. It's very easy to use and on top of that looks appealing. You can learn the vocabulary with games and print them out etc. Only downside is that it has no spaced repetition system like e.g. Anki does.
