A group for practising French
I'm participating in a free group on FB called "Lingua Franca Challenge". In this group the members vote for a language that they want to study together for six months. The first three months, the members share lots of resources and tips and communicate both in English and the target language. In the second part of the challenge, it's only allowed to use the current target language as lingua franca between the members. Previous languages have been Swedish, Russian, Swahili, Romanian, Icelandic, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Persian, Hawaiian and Japanese.

The new target language for the next six months (starting from today) is French. So, if you are either a total beginner in French or already intermediate/advanced and you are on FB anyway, you could join this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/linguafrancachallenge/;. There are several native French speakers and advanced French learners who are helping beginners. We will also explore other varieties of French outside of France (e.g. Africa, Canada, US, Switzerland etc.). Many members are experienced polyglots.

Allons-y!
