Here is the narratage of the documentary the Yellow River, the Lanzhou City:

The Yellow River, the Mother River. It is especially true for Lanzhouites (or it should be Lanzhou citizens/resident?).

Lanzhou, the only city where the Yellow River runs through.

The water of the Yellow River, which flows (or flowed?) from ancient times, gave birth to the Yellow River civilization.

The alluvial plains formed here by the Yellow River provided people with fertile land and opportunities for settlement to flourish.

During the Ming Dynasty, the people of Lanzhou received the gifts of the Yellow River in an ingenious way——The huge wheel we see is called the water wheel. It is the oldest irrigation tool along the Yellow River in Lanzhou City. It is 18 meters high. With its peculiar structures,it is able to raise the water to a height of 18 meters. At that time , its helped turn more than 600 acres of nearby dry land into vegetable orchards.

Although water wheels have been replaced by more advanced methods of water diversion, they still serve a very important role—— It has now become an interactive and entertaining exhibition, a fun way to remind the citizens how the mother river nurtured the people in the past.

The citizens of Lanzhou also remember her kindness of nurturing.

3.62 million descendants are growing up here. From the children flashing about for fun along the river to the elderly singing on the shore, Lanzhou people dedicate their hearts to the River. And the river also gives them peace and comfort in return.

A bowl of beef noodles made of Yellow River water is the most direct manifestation of the river’s feeding.

The Zhongshan Bridge, also known as the Yellow River Iron Bridge, was built in 1909 and is as old as Lanzhou University, which grew up by the River.

The bridge is the busiest place on the Yellow River, bringing romantic intersections to strangers (I mean let the strangers meet each other. Is that right?).

It's Friday, but it is still bustling with activity ( or activities?).

Tourists mark their visit (or arrival? ) by taking pictures at this must-visit internet-famous spot. High school students walk across the bridge after school, laughing and playing, and soon they were fascinated by the spectacular performance of a street performer not far away.

Many artistic reveries have also been sparked around here.

The Yellow River used to be a ferry crossing and many people have stopped here. Just as the tributaries flow into the main stem, the Yellow River also allows different cultures to mingle here.

Though different, they all coexist in harmony. Because, they are all children of the Yellow River.
