Once I had a major interview that I was preparing for a long time. But somehow I lost the track of time on the D-day. I was having lunch at a restaurant peacefully. Suddenly I realized that I overestimated my speed and I was already past the entry time of the venue where the interview was to be held. It was a confidential job hence reporting on the entry gate at the right time was really important for security purposes. I was not even dressed for the interview yet. I ran toward my home and looked for my favorite suit. But I could not find it, only to remember that it was still with the dry cleaner. I ran toward my dry cleaner in slippers. Fortunately, I got the suit in no time, thanks to the dry cleaner. I got dressed in the shop right there, but my formal shoes were still at my home. I then ran again toward my home and it started raining. My pants got ruined from the below due to muddy water. I reached home and wore my shoes. Now I went outside to look for a cab, but couldn't find one. So I took my bike out of the garage and put on my helmet. I was way past my entry time already, but I thought if I make it within a reasonable time I may be allowed to be interviewed. There were already other candidates in the queue. It was a very stressful time for me.
Then I woke up and realized that I already gave the interview 2 days before and it went well. Phew.

Thanks Natalie! There have been others, as I said, but what's life without a bit of adventure?

Too many to count! I once managed to lose my passport ON the plane! I probably would have been able to find it but the staff (it was ryanair) only gave me about 10 seconds to look for it, so I had to turn up at the arrivals security section with no ID. Thankfully, I was going from the Netherlands to the UK (I'm a British citizen), so they were able to look me up in their system. Anywhere else and I assume I would have been detained.

Anyway, what was meant to be a weekend trip turned into a month-long stay while I waited for my new passport to get sorted.
