Hi Raniya,

In answer to your question, yes the present perfect is important to know and understand.

To form the perfect tense you just need to take the verb to have and conjugate it depending on who's doing the action and then add the past participle of the verb.
We use the present perfect when something happened in the past but there is a connection with the present.
1) For something that started in the past and continues in the present:
For example: He has lived in Manchester all his life.
For example: They have been married for 20 years now.
2) When you talk about an experience you have lived during your life, up to this moment in time but you don't specify when.
For example: I have been to Paris
But be careful if you say when you did the action or had the experience, you have to use the past simple:
For example: I went to Paris in 2019.
3) With the following words the present perfect is often used:
so far.
up to now.
For example:
Have you finished your homework yet?
 I haven't had dinner yet.
4) We often use the present perfect when we refer to the recent past for example when giving news
Example: The Prime Minister of Sweden has visited a modern art museum in Malmó this morning.

5) If something happened in the past but it has a result in the present:
Example: David has gone on holidays. Result on the present, he's not here in the office now.

I hope this helps:)

Hello Raniya

That is a very good question ,the most important thing to remember is the perfect tenses always refer to completed actions. In this way you know what the speaker is talking about something or an event that has been completed so to answer your question further I will say yes its important so that you are not left guessing and for grammatical correctness .
