Hi, Ezzat, I have no idea how well the show depicts Colombia's past; only a Colombian can respond to that, and maybe someone will chime in and give you some insight. However, I do know that Colombia is a beautiful and diverse country, and like every other nation, it has its good, bad, and ugly. That said, I travelled to Colombia a few years ago, and I was only supposed to be there for two weeks, but because I was thoroughly enjoying the country and the people, I extended my stay for several more weeks. From Bogotá, Paipa, and Girardot to Medellín, San Andrés, and Cartagena, not once did I have an issue. In fact, on the coast, I was treated as family, and I will never forget the experience. I shall return to Colombia!
All that to say, even if the series represents a tiny part of Colombia's history, the country has changed for the better, and some Colombians, maybe even rightly so, might not appreciate certain TV shows or questions about said shows.
Good luck with your Spanish!
