The sentences are incomplete. Who paid the charges? Here are 2 examples of complete sentences:

She paid the vehicle license renewal charges on John’s car.

“She” is the subject, “paid” is the verb, and “ the vehicle license renewal charges on John’s car” is the object.

John paid the vehicle license renewal charges on his car.

“John” is the subject, “paid” is the verb, and “the vehicle license renewal charges on his car” is the object.

Subject = A person, place, thing, or idea that is doing or being something. Verb = indicates an action, state or occurrence, such as “hear, become, happen, etc.” Object = The person or thing that receives the action of the verb. It is the who or what that the subject does something to.
