I'm a sucker for Science Fiction so my favorite book is Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein. Overall though, my favorite author would be Issac Asimov.

Hopefully one day I will be able to read some Russian books without flipping through a dictionary every other word!

I love reading! I have so many favourites that it's hard to narrow it down. I will say though, that I really enjoy historical fiction. One of my all-time favourite writers is Pearl S. Buck. Reading about Chinese culture is so interesting, in my opinion. Also, James Clavell -- I really enjoyed his Asian Saga series.
