One thing to keep in mind — you might want to watch out for teachers who make multiple spelling mistakes in every sentence, or include too many apostrophes, misplaced spaces, and other strange punctuation errors. That would be an absolute minimum requirement for me, along with actual teaching ability and hopefully some experience in applied linguistics.
