NCT 127 Number Usage: Sino or Native or Other?
I know this might be somewhat a weird question but it's been bothering me for awhile.

When NCT 127 introduce themselves or talk about the group how to do they say the numbers? I know in English it's OneTwoSeven but I never know what they say in Korean because they write it with Roman numbers even in subtitles.

I think the other day I think I heard the tailend which sounds like 칠 which is SinoKorean for 7. So I would assume they are using SinoKorean saying 일이칠.

But then you could say the number in English as Onehundred and TwentySeven. So I don't know if it's possible they could be saying 백이십칠.

I've been listening to numerous material and in all this time I've never been able to get it.

If you need to listen you can hear it at the beginning when they are introducing NCT: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auKpDjg9-wA" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auKpDjg9-wA</a>;

I have no idea where to post this question so hopefully this is okay.

Thank you!! I sorta of guess that might have been what they were saying but I could never heard it enough to be sure.

I’m not a fan of NCT 127
so I answer for your question based on the Youtube + my experience.

on the video, they introduced them, NCT 일이칠
Speaking of Group names which have numbers
i’ve never heard some people call one hundred or anything over one hundred
it is the same reason why English people read how they read numbers too

one two seven is clear and short
so do Korean people :)

Thanks, I don't think that part of the pronunciation was on Wikipedia that last I checked.

Seems their name is pronounced with Sino-Korean numbers: il-i-chil. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCT_127" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCT_127</a>;

What is the appeal of K-Pop bands? They all look the same to me.
