Blow off/ Stand smb up
Do these phrasal verbs (Blow off/ Stand smb up) have the same meaning (in American English of course)

Yes and no.

We use blow them off to say you didnt want to even make plans with them.
To stand them up means you had plans with them, but never showed up.

Some people might use blow off to mean stand them up, but typically they are used in the two different situations mentioned earlier.
