What is it like to be a teacher or a student on Italki?
If you are neither a teacher nor a student and just use the articles, notebooks, answers, discussion, and language hacking sections like I do, describe your experience here. Do you have any complaints to make or has it been a rewarding experience?

It’s been almost entirely wonderful to tutor on iTalki. I enjoy self-employment, and iTalki makes it easy to manage.

I'm a teacher and a student here, and it is absolutely amazing! It is so much better than those impersonal bricks-and-mortar language institutes / academies / schools / universities, or whatever in the so-called "real world".

I am Community Tutor and I joined a month ago. It has been a rewarding experience honestly. I have met wonderful people as my students and also on this Community Platform. I have learnt about different countries, cultures and how everyone lives. It's been an eye opening experience.

I’m not a teacher, nor do I have a teacher or tutor (because I already studied my language for 5 years in school), but I’ve definitely been able to improve my language skills using the italki community features, mainly the notebook. I actually use the notebook more than any other feature on italki. I read books and write summaries every 5-10 chapters using the vocabulary I learned while reading. It’s a great way to expand your vocabulary and get corrected by native speakers.
