I fully understand your point. It is always a pleasure to see things which remind us of our hometown when we are away.

Reading your words about the sea makes me more appreciative to the place where I live.

My house is less than 2 km away from the sea shore. I can hear the roar of sea waves during windy nights in winter and smell its refreshing breeze during the summer evenings. And when you drive to the beach the time you lay your eyes on the horizon where the azure blue sea meets the blue sky line is one of the most beautiful things you can ever see. Sorry, I don't mean to add to your feeling of longing to the sea 😁.

Isn't about the time italki enabled us to share photos in the discussion section. Then I'd have shared with you some of my photos of sea. 🌊🙂

I guess I have more than just one!

A few years ago it was always the sight of oak and olive trees and vineyards! Usually that meant that I’ve reached my hometown and anything reminds me of it would bring joy to my heart.

Nowadays I can add the sight of water! Be it the sea or a spring. During the lockdown it was what I missed the most in a way if I saw it on TV I would have a few tears! The closest sea that I can swim in is 400 km away, so consider yourself very lucky 🍀

I love the sight of perfectly-formed waves. I'm obsessed maybe!
