[Politics]The War on Terrorism Share your opinion on the situation here. Some questions you might ask yourself and those in charge:

- Was a war necessary?
- Were the motives for the war proper?
- Has the threat of terrorism been reduced?
- Does pulling back the troops right now actually make the situation better?

I'm sceptical about the war on terrorism for several reasons, even though I think that action was called for after 9/11. Ulterior motives seem to have played quite a large role when you look at overseas oil interests of the United States. Another thing is that some of the countries in the region wanted to stop selling in dollars and instead trade their oil in euros. This in turn means that the USA would have to pay more for their oil, something they obviously didn't want to let happen.

On the other hand it's hard to deny that some of the states there are dangerous to the safety of the world, such as Iraq under Hussain and Iran with Ahmadinejad. So perhaps they did the right thing for the wrong reasons. The whole thing is still going though, who knows what's next.

- Was a war necessary?( At certain degree, it is how countries  release their internal conflicts and tension.)
- Were the motives for the war proper? (It is not simply about proper or inproper. Some people said good war is againest evil. But who defines evil?)
- Has the threat of terrorism been reduced? (I don't think so.)
- Does pulling back the troops right now actually make the situation better? (Maybe they can make worse bad, but not better.)

1. was war necessary?
No, as long as the problem can be solved in a diplomatic way  or peace talk
2. were the motives for the war proper?
i say no, cause the motive of G. bush is to Confiscate/ disarm all weapons of mass destruction where in fact they've found nothing during the invasion in IraQ.
3.Has the threat of terrorism been reduced?
Absolutely not, instead it created even more chaos more Suicide bombings. As long as there's a religious Warfare Terrorism will not end..
4. DOes pulling the Troops makes the situation better?
maybe, but we'll never know, all i know is that Iraq is an open country right know unlike the time of saddam where no foreign is allowed in Iraq..
