Which one would make your friend feel comfortable? Thanks When you don't really like the food your foreign friend cooks... It's different from what I used to eat. It's different from what I am used to.BTW, What would you say in this situation?

Just say, " It looks delicious, but I am sorry that I am unable to eat it " This worked for me in China when I was offered a dish of ducks' lips.

Don't lie. If you give some reason like an allergy and get caught in it, it will just make things much worse. You might say: "I'm very sorry, but this is not what I'm used to and it's just too different for me. It's me, not your cooking." This will be the truth, but not given brutally.
