Do you agree with the statement that "Beauty save the world" or " Not born beautiful but born happy!" ?
It was of course "The Idiot" Prince Muzhkin of Dostoevsky's book that first said 'красота спасёт мир' but is it so idiotic?
In that case Dostoevsky's remark, "Beauty will save the world", was not a careless phrase but a prophecy? After all HE was granted to see much, a man of fantastic illumination. And in that case art, literature might really be able to help the world today?" Solzhenitsyn's Nobel Prize acceptance speech.
And babies being born not beautiful but happy? They are both pretty ugly at birth and then just splutter and scream (which is a strange form of happiness).
Enough intellectualizing about beauty, it's there to be savoured. I know beauty leads me to happiness (whether it be a woman, a mountain or a gemstone).
Friendship is love without wings.
Beauty can attract you inside the house it takes intellect and character to keep you inside for life.
Not born beautiful but born happy! it is true.
Intellect. It always wins. If you're attractive and stupid, chances are you're gonna make some lousy life choices (because you're not smart enough to know better) and end up being unattractive anyway.
On the other hand, if you're intelligent (and I'm talking about high level intelligence) you'll find a way to make yourself appealing to people's aesthetics criteria. Not that I think it's of great importance...
