I am wondering how koreans find/found it when they did their 1st (Hangug)spelling tests since their pronounciations are tricky most of the time. Letters that Koreans confuse me with are :
b and p
d and t
g and k
m and b
It's really irritating at times -_-'
It is natural because the pronounciation of two languages is very different.
There is double sound system 'voiced consonant, unvoiced consonant' in english
but there is triple sound system 'lax consonant, tensed consonant, aspirated
consonant' in korean language like ㄱ ㄲ ㅋ, ㄷ ㄸ ㅌ,ㅂㅃ ㅍ,ㅈ ㅉ ㅊ,ㅅ ㅆ.
The point of articulation and the shape of your mouth in each sound is same
but the way to make a sound is different.
Most of foreigner have a difficulty in distinguishing these sound.
Please , don't hurry too much.
