I think that watching movies is good to improve your language skills. Of course if you choose subtitles in language which you are interested in. Which movie, from your country, will you recommend if someone ask you about it? And why this one?
Maybe I start.
I'm from Poland and if someone wants to watch polish movie I could recommend "Symetria". It's about innocent boy, who is convicted of a crime which he didn't do. But the director wants to show what happened with that person inside. But I think it's a movie for people who don't expect only an action or something but want to think about what they have seen.
So, who will be next? ;)
yes I watched this movie. It's excellent. Also I saw a movie about Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna. "Senna" is the title. It was great, too.
From Brazil I recommend "Cidade de Deus", a movie about a poor boy, called Buscapé who lives at a favela (slum or shantytown, I don't kwon the right one), around a lot o violence and crimes. He has a fair to make himself other bandit, but find at photograph the chance of change his distiny.
From, India Tare Zameen Par
From Turkey, Babam ve Oğlum (My Father and My Son)
This movie shows us the love towards our family in a tragic way.
I recommend you to watch "a seperation" or "jodaie nader az simin" which won an oscar, also I recommend you to watch "Bid-e Majnoon" which is about a blind married man who can see after doing a surgery and his whole life changes after that.
