which one do you prefer?

Do you prefer a traditional marriage or a modern one?

(based on your culture, I'd be thankful if you explain a little the difference between these two kinds of marriages)

I thinck you ask this qouestion of non-iranian members but such a qouestion is very attreactive to Iranian and I'd make my own comment ;)

A mordern marriage before anything needs a modern society a modern man and of course a modern woman.

As you know in Iran we have not modern society and also finding a modern man is too hard as well as a modern woman. But in an Ideal situation I'd prefer a modern marriage.

Dear Shaghayegh! I'm not sure if I have got what you exactly mean. Do you mean that even an ostensilbly modern marriage is in fact a traditional one?

If you mean so, I get what you mean, but these are not only men who are opinionated about women, but also many women have restricting rules for themselves as well.

I have reached to this conclusion by seeing the situation of some friends, marriage in Iran is like a gradual suicide for women. In a society that men all the time are winner. We confess men and women are equal but the women don’t have any right to make a decision for very tiny matters. Nowadays the conflicts with traditional and modern attitudes have increased these obstacles more for future of girls and women. The Iranian boys try to show they are open-minded and educated and respect to women’s idea but in reality we see traditional attitudes dominate on their thoughts and this can show its effect more in marriage.I pretend we are modern in our marriage but in deep consideration we understood we are Iranian without a special culture and we cannot ignore our traditional attitudes in marriage. So there are a lot of differences between our imaginations about coupling life with the reality.
