There is not A best book for me but several great books.
Among them:
The Brothers Karamazov - F. Dostoevskij
Dune - F. Herbert
1984 - G. Orwell
Martian Time Slip - P.K. Dick
Various tales of H.P. Lovecraft
The Pickwick Papers - C.Dickens
I can't give an exact answer, but among my favorite books are:
Lolita by V. Nabokov - it's amazing both in English and in Russian!
Wuthering Height by E. Bronte - I just adore it! Can read and reread it again and again
Watching English by Kate Fox - an ethnographical book about "Englishness", witty, funny and beautifully written. If you are interested in English mentality and way of life, it's probably the best think to read...))
Think Of a Number - John VERDON
It's "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte.
