You may watch it first in your Language subtitle, then watch the second time with English subtitle. And guess the meaning. That's the way I do to improve my skill.

Suggestion: short cartoon or cartoon since they speak slowly and related to daily routine.

Try reading more. When you find a new word you have to search for the meaning, right. But when you see it more often, which happens a lot while you read, you gradually start memorizing it. That's how we usually expand our vocabulary - by reading :) Good luck!
