I think you're right. Sometimes we win sometimes loss. Person who is stable in any bad or good situation in their lives can live happily .

  The idea that "Life is   Just---A---Game" is one that is entertained from time to time.

  However,   there are distinctions  between "games"  and "life"  that show Life to be much more than a Game.

   Here is how I would construct the argument.   Life is not a game, because in a game,  people do not get hurt.

    Of course, the immediate objection might be that in the competitive sports, people do get hurt.

In Baseball and  other games, there is sometimes physical contact that is violent.  However,  it should be noted that these are not  merely "games" by definition.   Sports teams are run as Businesses, with Salaries and so forth.

      In Games, people do not get physically hurt so as to suffer Pain. 

In Life,  people suffer Pain, and Pain is real.

    Generally, when people entertain  the idea that Life---Is---Just---A---Game, they are entertaining Ideas formed in the context of their own lack of involvement with the world outside their own experience.  Life, and the world as we know it, is full of suffering and hardship for all people.
