Xmas is truly magical :)
Part II
Christmas Eve is the main day of the holidays. People usually gather either with family and/or relatives for dinner and then exchange presents before they head off to the Christmas Mass.
Unlike in the rest of the world, presents are brought by "The Christkind" (the Christ's child) and not by Father Christmas or Santa ;)
May your Christmas be filled with love and many blessings.
Merry Christmas.
Christmas season starts here always with the first Advent Sunday and the traditional Christmas markets. For 4 weeks those markets are a magnet for people of all ages and nations. The atmosphere, the scent of roasted almonds or our hot mulled wine linger in the air while strolling around to find little treasures to place under the Christmas tree. Christmas trees are very important here in Germany. People spend millions of Euros on real fir trees each year. Families with children usually decorate their trees secretly behind closed doors. What a magical experience it always is for them to see a richly decorated and well illuminated tree for the first time.
