I have enlisted the help of a Korean teacher last year and has been a student of hers for almost a year now. It's hard but I am getting a hang of it and I can make a story already. ;p

Just make sure to get a lot of resources besides the materials your teacher will give you. It is much better to learn also on your own and have assistance from your teacher at the same time!

Hangul is actually pretty easy to learn.  Just get a flashcard app for your phone and practice in your spare time.  You'll have it down in just a couple weeks.
