I lost my job... Not too long time ago, I lost my job, but I managed to take an interwiev with a global Corporation who has companys several countrys. My guess is they may want to expand to Asian regions (including China, Hong-Kong, Taiwan). My question is if I encounter an asian company to negotiate with things, with Chinese dialect is apropriate? Cantonise is my first tough, becouse Hong Kong is one of the biggest commercial traffic in that region. And there is Shanghai (my favourite city) there they speak Shanghaiese. So I am a bit confused, what language I must learn to speak in a conference? So what is the best choice for beginning? Cantonese, Mandarin, shanghaiese or Taiwanese? Can you help me?

All economics in Hong Kong is done in English! So no need to worry about that one. Taiwan and Mainland use Mandarin. So if you really want to impress, study Mandarin.
